Nalthia

Keep checking up on the map, I'll be updating it regularly

Keep noted that this page will be updated constantly.
Though as soon as the main map will be finished, I'll start
making mini-maps of the areas to get the smaller towns built.

Nolt...a world that is very much like Earth, though the planet is a little on the larger side.  This does mean that the world is set at a distance from the sun...but, somehow the Sun is different from our own, somehow making the world about as equally as habitable as Earth.  Still, the gravity is just the tiniest bit lighter, which means a regular human can show a bit more strength and can be easily considered Heroes or Tyrants if they choose it.

Nalthia is one of four Known Continents of the world of Nolt, and is roughly twice the size of Europe, the Southern most tip just barely passes Nolt's equator, and reaches to the far North.  Thus, much of the lands of Nalthia vary in climate as well geographical landscapes.

The most noted part of the land is at the very center.  Once it was a land that was nothing more than a great forest...but the 'Song of Destruction' left a scar on the land in the form of a desert.  It is hundreds of miles across and makes it really rough to navigate across.  The only thing that flows across the desert is a large channel, which splits the western part of Nalthia from the rest of it.  Around the Desert is an extensive mountain range, which circles completely around it.  This is so because the destruction sent a wave of magic that altered the ground, sending the earth upwards and creating huge mountains...the only reason why the aftershock didn't continue was because of the Elves.  (More info on that later).

Beyond the mountain ranges?  Well Forests, truly.  With the desert splitting the four major parts of the land, the trees themselves are vastly different from each other, making sure that traveling across the world is always different.

The East carries the lowest lands of Nalthia, green forests with very gentle hills and many rivers run through it.  Needless to say the Eastern part of Nalthia is known for its Mists and grand forests.  This is the place where much of the Elves live, either in small towns, though nearer to the Mountains near the Desert is the large city of Calental, the capital of the Kingdom to the East.  Closer to the coastlines are where the humans live, each of their Seven Kingdoms reside on this land, and each Kingdom carries a different...culture.  Each Kingdom was a settlement form different parts of the Human continent...each one slowly drawing ties away form their old homeland and becoming settled upon Nalthia.  Thus, each human Kingdom is completely different from the rest.  There are four main human cities on the Eastern part of Nathlia:  Lathios, Stonmarsh, Hallowhal, and Aelborough.

The Southern part of Nalthia took the most damage with all the mountains, and it took several centuries before forests could grow again.  Once they did, the forests grew into the mountains.  From there, the lowlands southeast of the South are are made up of savannas, where much of the Orc Clans often reside now.  In fact, despite one city that the human's control, the southeast is controlled by the few Orc Clans that are left.  The City of Talenisul is the major city of the Elves that resides in the South...at least on the mainland.  Further south, there are plenty of islands that the Elves have settled down in, using their druidic magic to help grow extra wood to create ships, thus making the South the major naval force for the Elves.

The West is a very large land mass that is split off from the main part of Nalthia due to a large Channel.  Beyond the mountains that stand right on the edge of the channel is the great red forest, and the Elven city of Ostaren'dae resides where the forest starts.  The forest is heavy and vast, and in various parts of the forest carries different trees, giving it a technicolor look to it in various parts.  Near the northwest of the mass of land is a large savanna that carries old ruins of an Elven city that no longer remains. In this area is the largest 'goblin hole' where the main force of goblins had surfaced.  They built a city of Thorn's Deep around the hole to act as a port between the surface and underground.  To the Northeast part of the western area is the massive mountain called the Graybeard mountain, where the city Udironol, the greatest of the Dwarven cities rests.  The Western part of the land of Nalthia can be noted to be the most peaceful, save for a few fierce beasts and a light, yet comical war between the Dwarves and the Goblins.

The North is possibly the largest section of the land overall, though it is mostly due to the fact that much of the north is snowy.  The Elven city of Dolentaure is connected to the  mountains that rest between the desert and the north, thus the live in the warmest area of the northern part of the land.  Further north, there's a number of small villages that are made up of beastmen.  Each of these villages are small, especially since much of the beastmen are fewer in number than Orcs, but some have grouped together to form small tribes.  The farthest east of the North are two Human cities, Bilhaven and Nothoros.  For a time, much of the North was conquered by Bilhaven, and was formed into the Empire of the North sometime after the Song of Destruction.  However, time wavered the Empire quickly, and soon was decimated within itself.  It has been recollecting itself since then.  Northoros is a small city that carries a more viking/barbarian outlook, and it is only considered a Kingdom because the King of Northoros carries the strongest force of Barbarians.
